Upon graduation recipient of the Architecture Award for Outstanding Performance by The Institute of Bahamian Architects. I was also on the Dean’s Honor Roll for the academic periods (2001-03) and a member of Rotoract, a community service organization.

Magna Cum Laude honor graduate, recipient of the Thesis Award for achievement in Thesis Design 2006 and the Henry Adams Award for Academic Performance. Received first place in an intramural ‘Design A Logo’ competition in 2003. I have also been on the Dean’s List for the periods (2003-2006), served as Executive Secretary and member of The National Organization of Minority Architecture Students as well as Director Assistant for the ‘Architecture Student Showcase’ 2006. I am also a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the Tau Sigma Delta architecture honor society.

During my tenure at DDG I have been able to exercise a keen eye for details and materials that has been garnered by designing macro - micro scale solutions and regulary partaking in CEU certification seminars.
This ultimately resulted in my oversight of Project final submissions, working along with multiple studio teams from Project Concept through Design Development.
I was also given the title of In-House Interiors Coordinator where I was responsible for project interior and exterior final looks. This entailed materials and amenities research, procurement of materials for the studio library, material board final submissions and representing the company at NeoCon and Industry Events. I was able to develop a studio standard process for materials documentation which has been adopted to date.
PROJECT DESIGNER

Upon commencement I have been able to infuse my talents to contribute to team projects in a meaningful way. I received initial training in coordination of area calculations and data tabulation, organization of lease outline drawing submittals and master plan tabulation for large scale commercial projects. I was also highly involved in the design and formation of several international submissions for which DDG has secured. I have also actively participated in the model and presentation process for winning team projects both at the regional and international level. During this period I inspired the company's first social media outreach program DDG Traveller and organized numerous company lunch and learns with product representatives.
DRAFTSMAN/JUNIOR DESIGNER
YEARS EMPLOYED (2002- 05)
The Architectural Studio, Nassau, Bahamas
During this period I was employed part time while attending college and sought summer employment at the firm. In 2004 I was promoted to a junior designer and worked on a wide array of projects of large scale site development, small commercial enterprises and residential. Other projects include, resort site development, commercial and government offices. I also assisted in a submission for a National Competition and with product specification documents.

YEARS EMPLOYED (2001- 02)
Design Häus, Nassau, Bahamas
Received formal training in computer aided drafting, DataCad, working on a variety of projects which include, residential, an aviation hangar, becoming familiarized with the butler building system, and on interior design layouts for the Bahamas National Gallery of Art, a renovated 18th century colonial mansion.
